Try making these nutritious Breakfast Sundaes with your child for a weekend breakfast treat. Bumpkins Toddler Tips: Food Fun: Breakfast Sundaes

They use ingredients that you probably already have and there is no heat involved.

  1. Encourage your child to wash their hands.
  2. Gather together your ingredients: your child’s favourite cereal, a pot of yoghurt and some fresh or tinned fruit.
  3. Help your child prepare the fruit by washing it and then cutting it up if necessary.
  4. Help your child to spoon their favourite cereal, yoghurt and fruit in layers into a sundae glass or something similar.
  5. For a super healthy option choose plain cereals which are lower in sugar, natural yoghurt and lots of fresh fruit. You can always sweeten with a drizzle of honey to taste.
